Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan visited the controversial Rushikonda Palace in Visakhapatnam to expose ongoing mismanagement under the previous YS Jagan government. During the inspection, he revealed that the palace is incurring a staggering electricity bill of ₹1‑1.8 crore per month, adding an excessive burden on public funds.

Built at an estimated cost of over ₹450 crore, the palace was supposed to serve public or tourism purposes—but remains largely unused and reportedly mismanaged. Kalyan criticized it as an extravagant failure of governance. He further pointed out that the existing Haritha resorts in the same Rushikonda area were generating around ₹7 crore annually—a stark contrast to the current situation with high maintenance costs and negligible returns.
