Galaxy is an online website for bioinformaticians that offers scientific workflow, data integration, and data and analyses. Galaxy offers to download and upload data, create workflows, and publish them. Galaxy does not require knowledge in computer programming and can be used from any computer, OS, and browser. Galaxy has large storage capabilities for information uploaded and generated during the analyses. It is used as a general bioinformatics workflow management system.
I was first exposed to Galaxy as a postdoc at Johns Hopkins University and have been teaching it to Medical genetics MSc students.
