The floor mats are used daily in Montessori classrooms, as the children will be doing the Montessori activities throughout the day. As such, rolling the floor mat and unrolling the floor mat in Montessori is an essential skill to learn.
The problem with rolling a floor mat is that if you don't uniformly roll the mat, then one end is fatter than the other, and the child ends up rolling the floor mat into a cone. With practice, the child will be able to roll the floor mat in Montessori perfectly. This presentation teaches the child how to roll the floor mat in Montessori.
