"I was super sick at California Roots Fest. I was in no shape to be at a music festival, especially one that was hosted in a location with cold weather. I spent the majority of time at our session recordings huddled under a blanket trying to block as much of my skin from the open air as possible. However, and this is not an exaggeration or a critique of any of the other music we saw that weekend, but I warmed up during Trevor Hall's set. The blankets came off, I sat up from the bean bag chair prison that I had been cowering in, and I let the sun hit my face.
