🌟 MAKING A WEBCOMIC | Q&A 🌟

A few weeks ago I asked you if you had any questions about my comic, from my process on how I make comic art, come up with story ideas, inspiration and other influences or the story and characters of the comic itself.
In this video I’m going to answering your questions about my up comic webcomic, Cryptid Lake.
Watch a Timelapse/ speedpaint of my process while I explain why I made the design choices I made for more effective and unique character designs as well as explaining each character's backstory, personality and relationship with one another.
My art is very inspired by anime and manga art but also vintage muppet and puppet character designs, similar to the ones seen in Welcome Home.
Other inspirations for my work are artists like LavenderTowne , GinjaNinjaOwO , Aidaro (aka Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun) , heartmush , Marikyuun as well as 90's and early 2000s magical girl anime and shoujo anime like Sailor Moon, Ojamajo Doremi, Nadja of Tomorrow and Precure.
Hopefully this video will also inspire you to take random drawing prompts to create your own unique and fun characters and how to think when designing character in general, but especially how to design magical girls.
