When the alternate version of Heaven Only Knows was released on the 2007 remaster CD of Balance of Power, it was known only by few that what appeared on the disc was actually an edited version of the full mix. For some reason, the official version was cut down by an entire verse and multiple unique refrains. But now, for the first time ever on YouTube, here is the unedited alternate mix of Heaven Only Knows.

The song was played at one of the 2001 PBS Storytellers pre-shows that famously spawned the first bootleg for Beatles Forever. We worked hard to restore this recording as much as possible and are proud to present an incredible outtake from the ELO vaults.
