orange light mode:
If you happen to upload a bugged or broken shlisp, and your shnth has frozen, no worries, it's just the audio code spinning out. your shnth is not broken. you need to recover it with orange light mode:

disconnect device USB cord
turn battery switch off, away from USB port
hold down orange button on shnth, or hold down top fret of shtar
whilst holding, reconnect USB cord
upload a "safe" patch from examples
