Prélude No. 5 by Heitor Villa-Lobos - Performed by Andrew Michael

A bright and cheery work by non other than Villa-Lobos. His unique sense of harmony and repetition really shines through on this one. Written in the odd time signature of 6/4, it really does ride the line between 6/8 and 3/4 in terms of groove/feel. At times it feels like a waltz.

Unlike a lot of songs for the guitar in the key of D, this one's in standard tuning. Just a random tidbit I always appreciate about this piece. If I had to pick a favorite of the Villa-Lobos Préludes, this would probably be the one. This one and No. 2 are definitely my favorites of the bunch.
