[東方/Nokia Quartet/ Chiptune/ Touhou] The Primal Scene of Japan the Girl Saw (MoF stage 5 theme)

I’ve wanted to do chiptune for a really really long time so I’ve been researching stuff in the background regarding it. I originally was only gonna use a Nokia 3310 as the entire base for the arrangement before I got more ideas about how to develop this idea. After all unlike most conventional consoles that can play notes a nokia 3310 is limited to one channel and instrument. I also knew I could take the tapping noises from the buttons into the equation, but also then is where my next idea came. The nokia 3510 has an entire different system for making music, has soundbanks and also handles 4 channels. So by taking the 3510 and 3310 as the melodical and harmonical base with their channel limitations, and a 6030 and 6300. One for button taps and another for bass tap-thumps and phone call sounds. That’s how I visualized the workings of this “nokia quartet” so to speak. I have ideas as to how I could take the sounds from these phones for different purposes, so this may very well not be the last time I perform a chiptune like this lmao.

Also yes the theming based around Sanae and the fact she’s closer to these phones than modern ones is the irony in what factored in me going for these.
