As our NFL training camp tour continues, we made the trek to sunny California to catch up with our guy Davante Adams, who is settling into his new digs as a Los Angeles Ram and looking to be apart of something special with his new team. In this episode of The Pivot Podcast, we sit down with the star wide receiver, as he opens up about the highs, lows, and lessons learned from his journey through the NFL. After years of elite play in Green Bay, Davante reflects on the challenges and transitions he's faced as he went from the Packers to the Raiders, to the Jets, and now to LA.

Tae discusses the difficulties of bouncing from team to team, and how staying mentally strong allowed him to manage the emotional stress of not getting weighed down- especially through all the changes and losing his original on-field connection with Aaron Rodgers that was built on years of success and created his identity as one of the best pass catchers in all of football. He opens up about how the change of scenery over the years affected his mindset, his play on the field, and how he processed all the noise by staying silent. 

He’s not worried about “the best” lists, as he says he plays the game for himself and still puts up numbers that terrorize opposing defenses. In a moment of transparency, Davante shares a side of his journey the world doesn’t see all the time but the famed receiver is committed to showing off who he really is. He shares his welcome to LA moment as the guys talk about players around the league to watch and root for this upcoming season as well as Davante’s personal goals on and off the field. 

As he starts this fresh chapter in Los Angeles, Davante talks about what he brings to the Rams: his leadership, work ethic, and undeniable skill. He talks about his belief in quarterback  Matthew Stafford, how this young team is one of the most disciplined units he’s ever been apart of, shares his excitement for working with Coach Sean McVay and how he plans to mesh with the Rams' offense to help bring a championship back to LA. Entering year 12, It’s not about money and status, it’s about creating something he’s yet to experience….
