It was the first car from Mitsubishi to win the WRC championship and they went on to win WRC championships 4 years in a row following success of the Evo III. Considered as a modern classic Evo3s are very rare and hard to find these days. Only about 5000 of these cars were built back in the day, making the Evo III a true JDM automobile collectible
