On Tuesday May 6, 2025, Judge Duane Peters of Brazos County took time under "Interest Items" at the end of the Commissioners' Court Meeting to address "false accusations that alleged that there is a lack of transparency about the East Loop."
The No East Loop rebuttal topics, presented by Kyle Greenwood, an eastern Brazos County landowner in the path of the 20-mile, 300 foot wide, four-lane divided highway, include:
1. The Transportation Road Improvement Program (TRIP) Workshop of July 28, 2022 and the $15,000/month consultant, John Polster of Innovative Transportation Solutions
2. The TRIP Bond Proposition A Project List including the Inner East Loop
3. The Political Paid Advertisement "Mailers" that advertised the TRIP Bond and the local politicians and businesses that donated
4. The TRIP Bond Proposition B Project List and the Brazos County Regional Mobility Authority
5. The Election "Mandates" or Voting results
6. The TRIP Bond Ballot Language and Texas Senate Bill 1389
Further, the city of Bryan's Future Land Use Plan and how the development of this rural area will assist in the increased annexation of land.
