Описание:
On June 2nd 2015, two trains from The Smiler at Alton Towers Resort collided after a first (empty) train had stalled.
A second (full) train was sent out without knowing that the first one had stalled.
The second train stopped at the top of the first chainlift because the first one didn't pass the sensors on the mid-brakes.
But somehow, after a few minutes the chainlift started again, and so the full train collided with the empty one.
The only reason this could happen is because of someone (maintenance worker or operator) had started the chainlift manually..
This is shown by this simulator.
