매직버스 레코드 - 레인포레스트 음반 제작기-3

음반회사 매직버스 레코드의 소속 뮤지션인 [ 레인포레스트 ] 의 음반 제작과정 영상 part 3 입니다.

계속되는 레인포레스트의 곡 [이클립스] 의 녹음과정 3편 입니다.
3편에서는 기타 멜로디와 기타 솔로 파트의 녹음과정을 영상에 담았습니다.

Mesa Mk IV 앰프의 게인채널에 Klon Centaur 로 게인부스트하여 솔로를 녹음을 했습니다. Vintage Tone Rat 등 여러가지 페달로 게인부스팅을 시도했었는데 Klon Centaur 가 단단한 소리를 내주어 이 사운드로 결정하였습니다.

그리고 솔로 녹음과정중 흥미로운 과정이 있었는데
앰프헤드와 캐비넷이 분리되어 녹음이 진행이 되었습니다.
헤드는 컨트롤룸에, 캐비넷은 아이솔레이션 스피커룸에 있어 큰 소리, 노이즈등의
불편없이 녹음이 진행이 되었습니다. 그러나, 아쉬운부분이 하나 있었는데
자연스러운 피드백을 내기가 어렵다는것이었습니다.
또 마침 피드백이 들어가야만 하는 부분이 있어 고심끝에 헤드폰 Cue 아웃에
똘똘이 앰프를 연결하여 컨트롤룸에 설치를 하여 기타소리만 좀더 증폭하여
피드백 효과를 내보려는 시도를 하였습니다.
기타의 출력이 약했는지, 피드백 포인트를 못찾았는지,
결과는 100% 만족하지는 못했지만 그래도 긍정적인 효과를 보았습니다.
디지탈 앰프나 멀티이펙터를 사용하시는분들도 이 방법을 응용하면
자연스러운 피드백을 얻을 수 있을듯 싶습니다~!

이번 앨범에는 [이클립스 Eclipse] 를 포함하여 총 5곡이 실릴 예정이고
지금은 믹싱작업이 거의 끝나고 마스터링 작업을 하고 있습니다.
그 전에 녹음 과정을 찍은 음반제작기 영상을 공유합니다.

This is part 3 of the album production process video of Rain Forest, a musician belonging to the record company Magic Bus Records.

This is the third part of the recording process of Rainforest's song "Eclipse continues.
In the third part, the recording process of the guitar melody and guitar solo part was captured in the video.

I recorded the solo part of this song by Gainboosting with Klon Centaur on the gain channel of Mesa MV Amplifier. I tried to gain boost with various pedals such as Vintage Tone Rat, but Klon Centaur made a solid sound, so I decided to use this sound.

And there was an interesting process during the solo recording process.
The amplifier head and cabinet were separated and recorded.
The head is in the control room, and the cabinet is in the isolation speaker room, such as loud sound, noise, etc.
The recording proceeded without any inconvenience. However, there was one thing that I was disappointed about.
It was difficult to give natural feedback.
And there's a part where feedback has to go in. After much consideration, headphones... Cue out.
Connect the smart amplifier and install it in the control room to amplify the guitar sound.
I tried to give a feedback effect.
Whether the guitar output was weak or the feedback point was not found,
The results were not 100% satisfied, but they still had a positive effect.
For those who use digital amplifiers or multi-effectors, if you use this method,
I think I'll be able to get natural feedback.

There will be a total of 5 songs in this album, including "ECLIPSE".
Now, mixing work is almost finished and mastering work is being done.
Before that, I share the video of the record producer who took the recording process.
