I've loved this song since it came out. One of my bands in high school used to cover it, actually (I sang lead and played keyboards). I hadn't played it since, but it was a joy falling in love with this song all over again and creating this acoustic arrangement. Sterling Cottam and I had fun performing this one in Europe this past April, as well. It's going to be in the "Mike Massé Band" repertoire. We're going to be a full electric band, specializing in 80's/90's rock. But we'll also dabble in other decades when called upon, and can travel as an acoustic or electric unit. About the recording: we did something a little different this time; we just filmed the recording session from multiple angles. Usually on my multitrack/multi-angle songs, we record tracks at our leisure, and then film a multi-angle video after the fact, sort of recreating the recording performance (lip syncing and whatnot). What you're seeing in this video is the actual recording session, instead.

Thanks to Ovation Guitars for the beautiful "custom" Custom Legend. They were kind enough to build me this guitar with a midi pickup (like you may have seen on my old Martin road guitar) for my guitar synthesizer (Roland GR-55) and put my logo on the 12th fret. :) It's a shallow bowl version (built for traveling), and she sounds great.
