Emerging DJ and producer Lohrasp Kansara join forces with acclaimed filmmaker and electronic artist Ariel Vromen for a powerful new single, ‘Ancestors’, released via Green Room. Featuring the soulful vocals of Mavhungu, the track delivers a spellbinding fusion of deep house grooves and rich afro-house textures.

A transcendent listening experience, ‘Ancestors’ weaves intricate percussive rhythms with warm, melodic progressions, anchored by Mavhungu’s hauntingly expressive vocal delivery. The collaboration underscores Kansara’s talent for crafting deeply immersive soundscapes, Vromen’s cinematic musical perspective, and Mavhungu’s emotional depth and authenticity.

Lohrasp Kansara continues to push creative boundaries with a genre-fluid sound that spans house, tech house, afro house, progressive house and beyond. Known for his dynamic sets and forward-thinking productions, including his collaboration with the likes of MOGUAI and Marco Santoro, he brings a refined, global sensibility to every release.

Ariel Vromen, widely recognised for directing films such as The Iceman and Criminal, brings his narrative instincts to the dancefloor. A longtime DJ and electronic producer in his own right, both solo and as part of the psytrance outfit Sinister Funk, Vromen adds a cinematic flair to the track’s sonic architecture.

Completing the trio is Mavhungu, whose roots in traditional African music lend ‘Ancestors’ an unmistakable sense of cultural depth and vocal soul. Her performance adds both gravitas and spirit, making the track a celebration of heritage, rhythm and connection.
