We decided to take this track back to 1977.
Instead of the classic 80s synths or the orchestral swells you usually hear on covers of this song, we wanted to imagine what it would sound like if it were written by Led Zeppelin or Heart. We swapped the keyboards for aggressive acoustic strumming, mandolins, and heavy distortion.
It turns the song into a folk-rock anthem about storming the gates of heaven.
