This thick crochet stitch combination would make great sweaters, dish towels, washcloths, sweaters, blankets, etc. The stitch pattern is a two row repeat and you need a multiple of 3 chs to create any size crochet project you wish. The full written instructions are further below. ⬇⬇

HOW TO SLOW A VIDEO:

CONVERSIONS:

U.S. single crochet (sc) = U.K. double crochet (dc)
U.S. half double crochet (hdc) = U.K. half treble (htr)
U.S. double crochet (dc) = U.K. treble (tr)

ABBREVIATIONS:

FC - foundation chain (starting chain)
ch(s) - chain(s)
sl st - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
hdc - half double crochet
dc - double crochet
YO - yarn over
st(s) - stitch(es)
sk - skip

SPECIAL STITCHES:

Double Crochet 2 Together (dc2tog) - * YO, insert hook into designated st, YO and draw back through, YO and draw through 2 loops * Repeat from * to * 1 more time. YO and draw through all 3 loops on hook.

WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS:

FC: Ch a multiple of 3.

Row 1: In 6th ch from hook, * (dc2tog, ch 1, dc2tog) all in same ch. Sk 2 chs * Repeat from * to * across. Dc in last ch. Turn.

Row 2: Ch 1, sc in first st. Sc in every st across. Turn.

Row 3: Ch 3 (counts as dc), sk first st, sk next st, * working into ch-1 sp of “V” from 2 rows below, (dc2tog, ch 1, dc2tog) all in ch-1 sp, sk 2 sts * Repeat from * to * across. Dc in last st. Turn.

Repeat Row 2 and Row 3 for pattern.
