This awesome Singer sewing machine is a German-made slant-o-matic machine patterned after the Singer 401A and Singer 500, with features of both.
The place this one departs from the other slant needle machines is in it's slide-off sewing bed, which converts the machine to a free-arm machine.
It's just come off our restoration bench, here at Stagecoach Road Vintage Sewing Machine, and this is the final test before we pack her up to ship to her new home in San Francisco.
In this video, we go over the operation of the machine; threading the machine, winding the bobbin, and how to use the various controls.
