The new Mazda CX-30 achieved the highest rating of five stars despite stricter crash test ratings from Euro NCAP. Like the Mazda6 last year and the new Mazda3 earlier this year, the Mazda CX-30 is the third Mazda to be recognized as one of the safest vehicles on the market by Euro NCAP, an association of European transport ministries, automobile clubs and insurance associations.

The Mazda CX-30 delivered impressive results in all four Euro NCAP test categories and scored points in the categories of protection for adult occupants, child safety, protection of unprotected road users and assistance systems. The Mazda CX-30 was able to convince above all with the new Skyactiv Vehicle Architecture with a high-strength, energy-absorbing yet lightweight body, an expanded range of advanced i-Activsense safety systems and a high level of pedestrian protection.

With a length of 4,395 mm, a width of 1,795 mm, a height of 1,540 mm and a wheelbase of 2,655 mm, the Mazda CX-30 is entering a new market segment for the brand. Positioned between the Mazda CX-3 and the Mazda CX-5, the model meets the requirements of customers who want to combine compact urban dimensions with space and practicality.

The engine range of the Mazda CX-30 consists of the latest Skyactiv diesel and gasoline engines, including the new Skyactiv-X gasoline engine with revolutionary SPCCI combustion process (Spark Plug Controlled Compression Ignition), which combines the advantages of a conventional gasoline engine with the efficiency of a diesel engine. All engines can be combined with the six-speed manual transmission Skyactiv-MT or the six-speed automatic Skyactiv-Drive. The petrol engines are also optionally available with all-wheel drive.

The 2.0-liter Skyactiv-G petrol engine (fuel consumption 6.0-5.1 liters per 100 km, CO2 emissions 136-116 g / km; NEDC values) is optionally available with a six-speed Skyactiv-MT manual transmission and six-speed -Automatic Skyactiv-Drive powered. The 90 kW / 122 PS four-cylinder engine develops a maximum torque of 213 Nm at 4,000 rpm and takes power delivery, fuel efficiency and environmental properties to a new level. In addition, the intelligent Mazda Mild Hybrid System Mazda M Hybrid is standard on board.
