Built in the same year as the sinking of the Titanic, this abandoned house sits silently hidden in a valley away from sight. Built by Andrew Johnson in 1913, Andrew and his wife Amelia with their adopted daughter Augusta, farmed many happy years here.
Augusta married Alfred Ellingson in 1915. They had two boys. The second only lived 7 hours. Tragically, Augusta passed away soon after from Spanish Influenza in 1918.
Andrew and Amelia lived their remaining years on the farm. Andrew passed away in the house and Amelia passed away in the local hospital.
Tour this 113 year old house and explore the passageways and hear the experiences of this amazing pioneer family.
