Ladies, if you ever wondered why you find yourself in love and then heartbroken by these guys, I think you want more than you actually choose for yourself.

Me wanting hood dudes had more to do with what I was lacking emotionally and relationally than the type himself.

For my fellas, the main thing we want and need is security and protection. You do that, you get your girl over any kind of guy.

We choose from the level of our brokenness. We date from a wounded place and it is the wound that is longing to be healed, it is the little girl in us wanting to be safe. It is so much deeper than what meets the eyes and a lot of christian women will not be able to articulate why they are attracted to hood guys but today I want to help us all understand.
