We have been needing to do this for a while and we did it! We have 4 or more wood and brush piles full of knocked down trees, and needed to start taking care of them. We bough a Woodland Mills WC68 PTO driven Wood Chipper for our Massey Ferguson 1835E compact tractor.
In this video we assemble the Woodland Mills WC68 wood chipper. Then we get down to business and start shredding a cedar tree. The next day we started attacking the biggest wood pile.
We plan on using the wood chipper for creating wood chips for creating compost, laying down rows between garden beds, putting down a nice bed for trails, and bedding for our livestock.
We chose the WC68 for our Massey Ferguson 1835E because we trust the Woodland Mills brand. A PTO driven chipper means that we don't have yet another motor to take care of, and at 28-30 HP at the PTO, this wood chipper has sufficient power to cut through 6" logs.
