Holdout Juror #17 Who Allowed Jodi Arias to Live Breaks Her Silence in Interview

In this interview one of the questions asked of Juror #17 was how much she knew about the Jodi Arias case before serving on the jury. She said that she heard about the trial living in Arizona, saw the headlines when it came on the news, saw parts of the LifeTime movie about it, but she continually denied following it, having any interest in it, or knowing any of the details of the case, claiming that she had a lot going on in her life at the time. She claimed that she did not want to be “sucked into” it.

However, it was revealed in a court document that Juror #17 indicated on her Facebook page that she had recently viewed the movie “The Secret” and researched “The Law of Attraction World.” Both "The Secret” and the “law of attraction” are things that Jodi Arias strongly advocated for in the original trial two years ago. The State filed a Motion to Strike Juror 17 when this was discovered, claiming that she violated the court's admonition and should be excused. When confronted with this, Juror #17 admitted that she read the book and watched the movie “The Secret” two years ago, but said that she didn’t do so while sitting on the jury. For someone who claimed not to have followed the Jodi Arias case, never had an interest in it, or knew any of the details, Juror #17 seemed to know exactly what books Jodi Arias read and what philosophies she subscribed to. There's also controversy because Juan Martinez prosecuted Juror #17's ex-husband but it was never disclosed when she was questioned during jury selection. Although it happened several years ago, Juror #17 seemed to remember all the details of her ex-husband's crime. If she remembered so much detail of the crime, would she have remembered the man prosecuting the case?
