This rare footage from 1999 captures J.K. Rowling's appearance at the National Press Club's Author's Luncheon in Washington D.C. to promote the U.S. release of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
J.K. Rowling delights the audience by reading a passage from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. She then engages in a Q&A session, offering insights into the Wizarding World. The event concludes with Rowling graciously signing books for fans.
This program was aired two weeks later (November 1999) on Book TV which was part of C-SPAN 2.
