Most developers start with basic RAG implementations, but production AI systems demand sophisticated multi-step reasoning, as well as additional tooling. This talk demonstrates building production-ready agent workflows using the newly released LlamaIndex Workflows 1.0. We will demonstrate how we can build powerful agents within the confines of our specific workflow design, minimizing the risk of error or unwanted behaviour.
We'll see the evolution from a simple RAG setup to a complex agents that handle tool use, document analysis, report generation, and human validation. Using Workflows 1.0's event-driven architecture, we'll build practical patterns for query planning, memory persistence, and state management—all running in real-time during the presentation.
