特徵：
體長11~14公分。虹膜黑色。嘴象牙色，尖端紅色。腳黃色。
原生胡錦鳥頭部有紅色與黑色兩種，這兩個基本品種全身之顏色，層次多變，亮麗分明，故又稱作七彩文鳥，現在可區分為40多種。
雄鳥羽毛鮮艷，雌鳥相對黯淡。
分布：
澳洲特有種鳥類，只零星分布於澳洲北部。

Feature:
Body length 11~14 cm. Iris black. The mouth is ivory with a red tip. Feet yellow.
There are two types of native goldenbirds: red and black. The colors of these two basic species are varied and bright, so they are also called colorful birds. Now they can be divided into more than 40 species.
The male bird has bright plumage, while the female bird has relatively dull plumage.
Distributed:
It is an endemic bird species in Australia and is only sporadically distributed in northern Australia.
