I love Halloween and I'm so excited that our normally, hot October actually feels like Fall, perfect time to decorate!!! Some day I'm going to Halloween-i-fy my whole studio just so I can have Halloween year round! I'll let you know when that happens.
This is a flip through of an accordion style junk journal with a Halloween theme for my Graphics Fairy design team project.
The story behind the journal unfolded as I was making it and apparently it belongs to an Eastern European gypsy witch, named Borka, who has a life long obsession with cataloging and collecting various butterflies and bugs. She is also a wiz with a needle and thread and keeps the art of embroidery alive, stitching ancient symbols and spells onto cloaks, alter cloths and coven attire.
The accordion book is from Daiso and I used it as a base to layer lots of Graphics Fairy premium membership images and digital downloads. I had to stop adding ephemera because it got to be toooooo chunky and I couldn't close it properly.
Next time I will cut off the binding and make it bigger.
I also added lots of vintage papers, coffee dyed paper, antique and new lace etc.
If you become a member of the Graphics Fairy Premium membership site, you'll have access to gobs of amazing images, downloads, tutorials, done for you digital envelopes, pockets, journal pages and more!
