A winter ride around the Kentmere valley. This route follows the Kentmere Special route from my Lake District guidebook (link below). This route packs in some of the best trails around Kentmere, excluding Garburn Pass.
The book starts from the Mill Yard in Staveley, however this day we decided to start from Ings and rode the short distance to and from Staveley using the cyclepath alongside the busy A591. The cafe next to Biketreks provided good coffee and food at the end.
