Hebrew University authorized a pro-terror rally staged by Arab students. Despite their calls for intifada, the University claimed that this was a legitimate rally in support of Palestinian “prisoners” and did not allow Im Tirtzu activists to wave Israeli flags in response.
According to Hebrew University, waving Israeli flags is a “provocation,” but calling for intifada, incitement, and supporting terrorists are not.
During the rally an Im Tirtzu activist was physically assaulted by one of the Arab protesters and had to be taken to the hospital. This assault was ignored by both the security guards at hand and by the University.
