Destiny 2 Lore - Osiris's New Ghost? A path back to The Light?

Destiny 2's Lore and Story from Heresy has given us an indication that Osiris might actually be getting a new ghost in the future. His interactions with a ghost called "Peach" has brought up the question of whether ghosts can bond with guardians that have lost their immortality and potentially return them to The Light. Guardians like Shin Malphur act as a potential example, but they could also just be an exception. Today I took a quick look into things to see what's what.
