Dave is an avid cyclist, both for recreational and practical purposes, but he recognizes the historical importance of the bicycle far beyond its basic functionality, as a vehicle for social change. His talk shows the role of the bicycle throughout history and how its emergence has impacted various disadvantaged social groups, and continues to have impact today.
