The Netflix film “All The Empty Rooms” follows veteran CBS News correspondent Steve Hartman and photographer Lou Bopp as they embark on a seven-year-long project to document the empty bedrooms of children killed in school shootings. As gun violence claims more young lives than any other cause in America, these quiet bedrooms reveal truths more powerful than statistics ever could.
Following the screening of the short film, All Things Considered host Lisa Mullins moderated a discussion with Hartman, Academy Award-nominated and Emmy Award-winning director Joshua Seftel, film subject Nancy Blackwell and pediatric trauma surgeon and firearm injury prevention researcher Dr. Chethan Sathya.
