Episode 1- The Game That Brings Us Home, From the Ground Up: The Heart of B.C. Football Documentary takes us back to where the game begins. This episode follows a group of Canadian Football League (CFL) players who return to their home field to teach, mentor, and help shape the next generation of football players. Set after the regular season, the story centres on the All Star Youth Sports (ASYS ) B.C. tackle team—athletes brought together from across British Columbia, including the Lower Mainland, the Interior, and Vancouver Island. These Grade 8 and 9 players are at a pivotal moment in their football journey. Some are completing their final year in community football, others are entering their first season of high school Junior Varsity, and some continue at the Community Bantam level. Many of these athletes have never played together before, coming together for the first time as one team. The episode unfolds through a focused practice and a two-day tournament, culminating in a hard-fought match up against Team Alberta. Beyond the scoreboard, this chapter is about mentorship, community, and the game that continues to bring players back home.
