How I Draw Faces: Basics of Portrait Drawing (How To Use References)

As stated in the video multiple times, this is just my way of drawing and shouldn't be taken as the only or best way to draw a face. There are thousands of videos on this topic so if this one isn't your style I'm sure if you keep searching you'll find one that is your style!

• Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain - https://amzn.to/3hWxFXT - This was used as the curriculum for the 1 (and only) community college art course I took. I don't know if I buy into the right/left brain thing anymore but it was still a helpful read! Not exclusively about portraits but improving your drawing, in general, will help with portraits too!
• Portrait Drawing: A Step-By-Step Art Instruction Book - https://amzn.to/2WNaxCl - I rented an older edition of this one from the library many years ago. A good resource for people who like detailed step-by-step instructions and want examples for multiple angles and types of faces. Pretty sure it also goes over hair and shading.
