Psycho (1998) - Movie Review

What's the definition of insanity? Gus Van Sant's Psycho is a shot-for-shot remake of the Alfred Hitchock classic. Maligned by fans and disregarded by critics, this remake has quickly fallen into irrelevancy. Does this modern version of Psycho deserve the hate or is there some merit beneath the familiar surface?
