Formula One legend Sir Jackie Stewart sits down with The Telegraph's Tom Cary at his Swiss apartment.
He speaks openly about his Lady Helen Stewart's dementia.
“She is going through a bad time right now,” he says, tears in his eyes. “Violent” episodes are increasing, both towards her carers and her loved ones. “Particularly in the evenings”.
Although he has long retired from driving, Sir Jackie is still racing, For all he is worth. Finding a cure for dementia is, he insists, the most important race of his life.
