In this video, I share my complete experience of visiting Kamakhya Temple — from reaching Guwahati Railway Station to performing the puja and exploring the surroundings.

🚉 How to Reach Kamakhya Temple from Guwahati Railway Station (GHY)
If you are arriving at Guwahati Railway Station, reaching Kamakhya Temple is very easy:

By Auto / Shared Auto

Step out of the station's main entrance and you will find many autos.

Direct auto to Kamakhya foothill costs approx ₹150–₹200 (fare may vary).

Shared autos to Maligaon or Kamakhya Gate are also available (₹20–₹30), from where you can take another small auto uphill.

By App Cabs (Ola / Uber)

The most convenient option.

From GHY Railway Station to Kamakhya Temple entrance: approx 8–10 km.

Travel time: 20–30 minutes depending on traffic.

Fare usually around ₹180–₹250.

By City Bus

Local buses towards Maligaon or Jalukbari will drop you near Kamakhya Gate.

From the gate, you can take an auto / shared vehicle to reach the top.

Climbing / Trekking Option

If you prefer a spiritual walk, steps from the foothill lead directly to the temple.

Takes about 20–40 minutes depending on pace.
