马街书会是具有悠久历史的，具有地方特色和地区代表性的民俗活动。每年的农历正月十三，在河南省宝丰县城南五公里处举行，那时众多说书艺人聚集在一起说书，唱书，亮书，卖书，非常吸引人、热闹。其中涵盖了京韵大鼓，山东琴书等40多种曲艺曲种，和上千部传统和现代曲目。2006年，马街书会被列为国家非物质文化遗产名录，2013年，河南省宝丰县被河南省委宣传部，省文化厅，省文联联合命名为河南省首批特色文化基地。
The Majie Book Club is a folk activity with a long history, local characteristics and regional representativeness. Every year on the 13th day of the first lunar month, it is held five kilometers south of Baofeng County, Henan Province. At that time, many storytellers gather together to tell stories, sing, illuminate and sell books. It is very attractive and lively. It covers more than 40 types of folk arts such as Jingyun Dagu and Shandong Qinshu, as well as thousands of traditional and modern repertoires. In 2006, Majie Book Club was listed as a national intangible cultural heritage. In 2013, Baofeng County, Henan Province was jointly named as the first batch of characteristic cultural bases in Henan Province by the Propaganda Department of the Henan Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Department of Culture, and the Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles.
