In addition to Kiss of the Tarantula, the Eakle House was also used for scenes in the 1968 John Wayne movie The Green Berets.
Kiss of the Tarantula is a 1975 B-movie horror film about Susan, a teenage girl who, after her mother's death from a heart attack caused by one of Susan's tarantulas, uses her collection of pet tarantulas to exact revenge on those who have wronged her and her mortician father. The plot includes a dysfunctional family dynamic, with Susan's mother and uncle plotting to murder her father, and Susan's subsequent vengeance against classmates and others.
