在带团队时,因情商而犯最大的错误是他们不明白每个团队都有独特的「团队情商」。
The biggest issue mistake I see people make when leading a team is they don't understand that a team has its own emotional intelligence.
团队情商是团队的行事作风。在不同团队工作过的人都经历过,一个团队有一种工作模式,当你进入另一个团队,你又要适应和采用另一种模式。
Team emotional intelligence is the norms for behavior that a group adopts. And most people who have worked in different teams have experienced this. Where you behave one way in one job with one team, you take a new cross-functional assignment and you adapt and adopt the behavior of that team.
所以,领导者要了解这个团队的文化:如何处理情绪,对反馈的接受度和自我表达程度,团队在组织中的整体形象如何,是否与其它部门或团队有竞争力。
So the team leader needs to see what the norms are for the group. How the group tolerates emotion? How open the group is to feedback and people expressing themselves? How the group represents itself inside the organization. Are they competitive with other departments and other and other teams?
身为领袖你需要去了解你团队的行事作风和文化,这样才能直面问题、扬长避短,并且把团队的优势放大。
So as a leader, you need to recognize these norms for behavior within your group, so that you can address them head on and improve those that need to be improved and changed and magnify those that are really good qualities that are helping the good.
