Learn how to build a real-time data pipeline for healthcare IoT using Confluent Cloud, Kafka, BigQuery, and GCS. In this demo, I show you step-by-step how to:
Collect health data from IoT devices like smartwatches (simulated).
Stream it through Kafka topics on Confluent Cloud.
Archive raw data as single source of truth in GCS using a Google Cloud Storage Sink Connector.
Process data in real-time with ksqlDB on Confluent Cloud, flattening JSON, adding patient metadata, and performing joins.
Store processed data in BigQuery using a BigQuery Sink Connector for analytics, detecting issues like low oxygen levels or falls.
This pipeline runs on a Confluent Cloud Basic Cluster with auto-scaling, ensuring scalability and fault tolerance. Watch to see how I set up producers, consumers, and connectors to monitor patient health in real-time.
