My First Solo Wild Camp – Peak District, UK

This was my first successful solo wild camping experience, and I did it completely alone—just me, my tent, and the wilderness. After a failed attempt months ago where I left early, I returned to challenge myself and finally face the fear that held me back. This is the story of how I stayed.

I camped alone in the Peak District, a place I’d never been before, and hiked up one of the tallest hills near Kinder Scout. It wasn’t easy—rain, strong wind, and cold mist made it tough. But it was real, raw, and unforgettable.

In this video, I reflect on why I choose to do things like this alone, especially as a woman, and share my honest thoughts about the fear, discomfort, and growth that come with solo wild camping.

💬 Why I Made This Video:
I didn’t do this to prove anything to anyone else. I did it for myself—to prove that I could come back, face my fear, and stay. This trip was slightly cold, wet, and imperfect… but it reminded me that growth lives in the uncomfortable places.
