Ukraine's AIDS War: The Lost Children

Hundreds of children were born with HIV unnecessarily in Ukraine last year because of a shortage of vital drugs, a Sky News investigation has discovered.

A year of turmoil has led to claims that the AIDS programme is "breaking down" and not enough is being done to fight the epidemic, which has plagued the former Soviet state for more than 25 years.

War in the east of the country and huge political turmoil in the capital, Kiev, has choked off the supply of anti-retroviral drugs used to prevent the spread of the virus.

Sky's Nick Martin has been to the country to discover the extent of the problem.
