This is a super simple and cheap upgrade to any of the cheap fdm #3dprinters usually those solid from a certain communist country. Not only does it help prevent your machine from ripping itself apart when things go bad by disconnecting the stepper motor and leadscrew, but as in this video, it will improve your sanity from the horrors of the cheap printer. This was done on my Creality Ender 5 Plus
