Muro, located in the northeastern part of Nara Prefecture, is surrounded by ancient somma mountains. Mountain streams flow into the Muro River from the mountain range with Shojinho as its highest peak. Since ancient times, it has been revered as a sacred place where the god of water resides and where people pray for rain. Muroji Temple, which stands here, is colored by the four seasons and continues to fascinate people today and in the past.
