This #AlcoholAwarenessWeek is focused on ‘alcohol and cost’. Whilst the financial cost of harmful drinking is widely recognised, it is also important to look at the personal and social cost. Alcohol can negatively impact relationships, families, careers, and our physical and mental health. Alcohol can put us at greater risk of certain cancers and other diseases, and lead to low mood, anxiety, and poor memory.
Having greater control of drinking can benefit our health, save us money, and help us to improve relationships. The earlier we can recognise the cost of alcohol, the better the outcome when we start to implement changes.
