After the passing of my beloved father, John Robbins, on June 11th, I’ve been reflecting on the many ways he shaped my life—and the world—with his wisdom, love, and example.
In this video, I share a memory from when I was six years old. A simple request for slippers became a life lesson that has stayed with me ever since: those who are happiest are those who find joy in serving others. That single teaching is part of the legacy my father leaves behind—a reminder that love and generosity are not just acts of kindness, but pathways to meaning and joy.
As I remember him, I also reflect on something Mister Rogers once said: “Look for the helpers.” In times of despair or crisis, we can always find people showing up with care, courage, and compassion. My dad believed in that goodness—and he lived it.
This video is a tribute to the joy of service, to the quiet heroism in everyday kindness, and to the enduring spirit of a man who helped so many find their purpose and their path.
💚 Thank you for honoring his legacy by being a helper and spreading joy through your own acts of service.
With love,
Ocean Robbins
