We headed out rock fishing on the west coast of Scotland, targeting wrasse with fresh ragworm. The action didn’t disappoint, loads of wrasse, a few pollock, We both had a double hook up of some shoaling Pollock at the same time which is this first time I have experienced this and we even had a surprise mackerel taken on a full Ragworm bait, this made for a brilliant session.
The biggest wrasse I hooked turned out to be my personal best, an absolute brute that smashed the ragworm and gave a proper scrap on light gear! Fantastic day out fishing the rocks with my brother, can’t wait to get back out again with him!
