Dead Rising 3 is Terrible - A Critique and Story Deconstruction

Dead Rising 3 sucks. Sorry, but there's barely any positivity here, other than the praise of Gary's voice actor.

Even though this is 2 hours long, I still thought of some things while editing that didn't make it into the video. The game is centered around fixing the plane, which requires very specific parts, but any other vehicle Nick can mix and mash with no problem? Pardon me? Steam roller on a motorcycle coming right up, airplane part? Hang on a sec, let me find a letter and make you chase down specific parts in a collector's mansion yard. Ridiculous.

In terms of the story itself, you could easily go in depth with the government surveillance themes with the zombrex chips and cameras, but the only time it's worth delving that deep into a piece of media is if it has a competent basic foundation. The story can't figure out how to tie its shoes, I'm not going to test it on tying complex knots.
